"Get Thee Behind me NEGATIVITY" ...We all deal with it in one way or another but my question to you is....How do YOU handle it when negativity comes knocking at your door?
The trick is to never let the weight of the world get you down. You are never the only one going through a problem, everyone does but some just learned how to either hide it, deal with it or grow from it...my goal is to train you how to stay in your "positive" zone no matter what your circumstance.
I have compiled my TOP 10 WAYS TO KICK NEGATIVITY'S BUTT so lets get to kicking:
1 - JUST SAY NO! Stop putting up with people or situations in your life that serve you no purpose or make you unhappy. You have the power to decide who and what you choose to entertain in your life. You don't have to put up with it, you choose to!
2 - YOU ARE AWESOME! Every morning and night, stand in front of the mirror, look into your eyes, admire your unique facial features, your body, your curves, and then tell yourself out loud, "I AM AWESOME!"
3 - CREATE/PLAN THINGS TO DO! There is nothing better than going through a bad day knowing you have something, special and exciting to look forward to. Whether its a trip, some shopping, a new hair do or just a spa day, plan events for your life so that you always have something fresh and new to look forward to.
4 - NOT EVERYONE CLAPPING WISHES YOU WELL! Have you ever been around that person who say's they wish you well or acts like they wish you well but deep down you feel as though there is some type of envy towards you. Do they ACT like they support you but don't actually DO anything towards supporting you? Yep, we all know that type! Well, today honey, its time to let that dead weight go! You know who they are and you know they serve no purpose so WHY are you allowing them into your personal space? Stop It!
5 - BE INDEPENDENT NOT CO-DEPENDENT! Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to be "single" to be independent. Even if you are married, dating or living at home with your parents you can still be independent. Stop relying on others to get you to where you need to be, to provide for you and to take care of you. What if something happens to that person? Then where will you be? Ask yourself....if the person you depend on was not here tomorrow, would I be able to live the same life you are living now? If the answer is NO, then focus on what would change in your life and make an effort to gradually be able to manage that situation on your own....remember, tomorrow is not promised to anybody! Don't make complacency become your downfall!
6 - STAY BUSY! An idle mind is the devil's workshop...I'm sure you have heard this phrase before but it is very true! When you are bored or do not have anything constructive to do with your time, your mind tends to wander and focus on things that are not productive. A lack of ambition and motivation can cause you to become depressed as you watch the entire world passing you by. Stop WATCHING...start MOVING!
7 - LOVE FREELY! Whenever you are feeling down, start by trying to find love in your heart to give to someone else. The giving of love is a powerful emotion guaranteed to squash negativity instantly. As they say, its a thin line between "Love & Hate"...make sure you keep your feet on the right side of Love!
8 - ORGANIZE & DE-CLUTTER! Another saying I love is "a tidy house is a tidy mind." If you are unorganized and everything around you is in disarray, then guess what? So will your mind be! It is impossible to stay focused and positive when everything around you is falling apart! Stop cluttering up your space and mind....CLEAN UP!
9 - KNOW YOUR WORTH! Review your life and ask yourself what value do I bring to the table? What is it that people love most about me? The focus on those positives and accentuate them. You have so much to give and the world is waiting on you...my question is? What are YOU waiting for!
10 - LIFE IS A MIRACLE! Never forget that everyday above ground is a blessing. Its a miracle that we are all here in the first place so never take life for granted. You really do need to LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE & BE HAPPY!
So, did you notice a common theme? ...Every point has to do with YOUR actions. Not your brother, not your neighbor, not your best-friend or anyone else but YOU. It's all about the mindset and actions YOU take.
